I OBVIOUSLY didn't get all the achievements (if i didn't even got to do the other stuff i'm saying here).Īlthough the game has SO MUCH to offer, i think it's (and pardon me if i'm being too harsh here) half the game i was expecting. I never got to get all the skills (i'm missing 3-4 i think?). Unleash your magic powers and fight your way through the wilderness to find what you have been searching for decades. I never got to fill the talisman - i got nowhere near the total shadowcores needed. You use gems to attack these creatures, each gem color having its own properties. The point of the game is to kill the monsters before they reach your tower.
GEMCRAFT CHAPTER 0 FINAL LEVEL SERIES
This prequel to Gemcraft is the second installment in the very acclaimed TD game series and was released after Gemcraft. I understand you constantly have to up the stakes and tease the player into buying a sequel, but it felt like i played an advertisment of the real game, rather than the real game. Gemcraft: Chapter 0 is a tower defense game where your towers are powered by gems. So the game got me invested on these three key entities from the get go, and yet i never got to do anything with them.Īlthough i absolutely love GemCraft (and have been playing since day 1 on Kongregate - ages ago - i think it was originally on ArmorGames ? I think i played it on there too - i can't remember), and although i have been restlessly expecting this to come out (bought it as soon as it came out), i can't help but feel it's just a teaser for the real battle. NOW my investment (gamer-wise) is going to start paying off. I was honestly expecting that NOW we're reaching the middle-to-end of the crescendo, where i'm going into some serious stuff. Now, that it felt like the real game started. What i got, instead, was some story that i now can enter the Spiritforge, and the game is pretty much over now. I hate the fact i never got to use the gem of eternity, i never got to meet the Forgotten and the BEST levels were the ones that i was cooperating with the other wizard (it gave me a sense of the unknown, the common struggle etc.) - whom i similarly never got to meet. I was battling this whole game to enter the spiritforge and the game ended right after i defeated the gatekeeper ! I was expecting at least a level inside or at least some closure concerning the Forgotten or the other Wizard. I am a 'veteran' of the series having played and beaten the first Gemcraft when it came out (and thinking it was the best damn TD game ever) along with Gemcraft Chapter 0: Gem of Eternity when that came out later. Unfortunately with Gemcraft, at least with chasing shadows and frostborn wrath, this is not possible, because after you fill in all your skills and traits, you've already pretty much conquered all the land. I'm curious about people that thought the game was too hard / still think it is and which Gemcraft you started with.

I'm sorry but the ending came way too abruptly. You know as I try to collect more skills and more traits, I want to be able to use that eventually to conquer plenty of super tough land.
